When you network, you meet people who have walked different lives than you. Who can give you information on things that you may never experience yourself. People that may knowledge in another area than you. Or be a life long friend and mentor.
When you network, you expand your horizons in ways you wouldn’t know existed as well all have different backgrounds, experiences, interested, etc. that could give insight to something that may be useful to us.

In order to truly get al you can from networking, you must be open to new ideas, new paths, new views and just new anything. Even those who are most different than us, and sometimes even more so, are the ones who can help us most.
Networking is just getting to know different persons for your profession or personal life, sharing knowledge you have and coming in with an open mind the receive information or resources from any which way.
And there are so many ways to network, so keep your eyes and ears open. For instance, I just started a local book club and while small now, I look forward to watching it grow with different minds amongst our monthly meetups to expand our ways of thinking and perspective.
Community events, true titled networking events, sport groups, your local coffee shop (take the ear pods out from time to time and look up!), friends of friends, family gatherings, kids sports, and so many more ways.
So check out Facebook for local groups, talk to a friend about what you are planning to do and ask if they have anyone who might be able to help, start some small talk with your kids sport team parents (I know it can be awkward!) and just be open.
Go ahead and check now.
I’ll wait...
While you do that, I will work on putting together some conversations for you to get it going depending on where you are at.
Check back soon!
Much Success,
